Recently, Zhengzhou Nissan executives revealed to reporters that in July and August this year, Zhengzhou Nissan will launch two new models of its own brand - the SUV "Odin" and the MPV "Yuxuan". In addition to the NISSAN pickup truck recently launched at the Shanghai Auto Show, Zhengzhou Nissan will launch three new cars this year, which is unprecedented in the history of Zhengzhou Nissan. Zhengzhou Nissan, which has been relying on Paladin to dominate the world, has finally begun to overcome the dilemma of a shortage of new products.
According to reports, "Odin" and "Yuxuan" were respectively born from Zhengzhou Nissan"s Paladin and Nissan"s MPVSerena. They not only expanded the product lineup of Zhengzhou Nissan, but also brought a sedan vehicle platform to Zhengzhou Nissan by Yuxuan. Odin and Yuxuan will respectively focus on the mid range SUV and mid range MPV markets, with a target sales volume of 8000 and 5000 units this year.
The changes in Zhengzhou Nissan are mainly due to the implementation of its dual brand development strategy. In October 2004, Zhengzhou Nissan joined the "Dongfeng Motors" and owned both the Dongfeng and NISSAN brands. Last year, it launched the Ruiqi diesel pickup truck and Ruiqi multi-functional commercial vehicle, and the dual brand strategy showed initial effectiveness.
On March 30th this year, Dongfeng Co., Ltd. established a clear positioning for Zhengzhou Nissan, aiming to build it into the main development base for NISSAN brand light commercial vehicles. Zhengzhou Nissan executives stated that this positioning brings a once-in-a-lifetime development opportunity to Zhengzhou Nissan, which means that Nissan will continue to provide new models of the NISSAN brand to Zhengzhou Nissan in the future.
