On December 23, 2009, successfully acquired 100% equity of Volvo Cars. The latest ranking of Fortune Global 500 companies in 2012 has been released. Among the five Chinese private enterprises on the list, Zhejiang Geely Holding Group was shortlisted for the first time. Geely entered the Fortune 500 for the first time with a revenue of $23.355.7 billion (including Volvo"s 2011 revenue), ranking 31st among car companies, and its overall ranking jumped from 688th last year to 475th. As of 2013, Geely has 9 production bases including Cixi, Linhai, Ningbo, Shanghai, Xiangtan, Jinan, and Chengdu, with a total production capacity of 600000 yuan. On April 18, 2013, Geely Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Baoji, planning to build a new base in Baoji with an investment of 7.2 billion yuan and an annual production of 200000 vehicles. On December 31, 2014, Geely Nanchong signed an investment contract for the R&D and production project of new energy commercial vehicles. Investment of 7 billion yuan, annual production of 100000 new energy commercial vehicles, 50000 gas engine production bases, and new energy commercial vehicle research institutes.
